GE Aerospace announced plans in March 2026 to invest over $1 billion in U.S. manufacturing. The company will also allocate €110 million to its European facilities. These investments aim to accelerate engine deliveries and ramp up production of durable parts. The funding will strengthen defense output to meet increased demand.

The U.S. investment will affect facilities across 17 states. GE Aerospace plans to hire 5,000 new workers to support the expansion. More than $275 million is designated for upgrading defense engine production sites. An additional $200 million will expand manufacturing capacity for CFM LEAP engines. These engines power narrowbody jets for both Boeing and Airbus. European funding will boost advanced manufacturing in Italy, Poland, and the United Kingdom.
