OpenAI and Baseten Let Enterprises Use Commitments to Pay for Open Models

OpenAI is partnering with Baseten to let enterprise customers use their existing financial commitments to OpenAI to pay for open-source models.

Announced as part of the new OpenAI Marketplace, the integration is one of 32 initial partnerships and makes a range of Baseten-served open models available directly through OpenAI’s platform.

Customers can access the models through Codex for coding tasks and a new Responses API for broader applications. This gives companies the flexibility to choose between OpenAI’s proprietary models and open-source alternatives for different tasks, without managing separate contracts or billing.
